These beasts are products of alchemy and cross characteristics of certain animals with the holy form of humanity, the creature that makes up the key aspect of these creatures varies depending on the role that will be required of it.

While not as common as the Guardian Lions, Guardian Apes are powerful creatures using a combination of their brute strength agility and intelligence to slaughter those who dare tread on sultanate ground.

When the generals call for mobile artillery the House of Alchemy responds with these fine beasts, formerly crafted as beasts of burden the carry huge blocks of stone they have been repurposed with the advent of reliable artillery.
A larger multi limbed beast carrying the heaviest artillery the Sultanate armouries can supply, small almost human Takwin scamper all over these beasts operating the heavy machinery atop their backs. Smaller variants of these beasts are often used in the retinues of alchemists who see the value of being able to fire an artillery strike from any position.

There are two methods in which a Trench Ghoul warband expands its numbers, the first is by digging up the graves of the freshly slain and resurrecting them through dark ritual, the second and more grim is by taking captured mortals and draining the life from them to corrupt and warp their soul and flesh.

When searching for living material to create ghouls there is no prize greater than the Paladins of the living wound, these warmaidens are blessed with the ability to turn their pain into power, something the ghouls are well aware of and twist and corrupt to their own purposes. A captured Paladin will be tortured for days by a ghoul procession, dragged through fields of barbed wire and have jagged spines of black iron implanted into their very bodies, once transformed into a ghoul their power is turned outwards, transferring the constant pain they feel to any nearby the Ghoul Priests do not grand protection too.
