Goetic Ghoul
"We're all at the end of our rope here, go relieve him"
"Yes Sarge..."
- The final known words of Private McTavish
An unfortunate soul with goetic potential is snatched away in the night, & the only reward for surviving the horrors of the journey to Hell is hellfire itself.
Consumed by flames that sear off flesh & crack bones but knit the soul to the corpse, these poor creatures' very marrow burns with neverending suffering.
The blackened skeleton is clothed in alchemically grown muscle tissue, strange devices implanted in vat-grown organs, all stuffed in the hollows of its body.
& for what end?
To create a goetic ghoul.
The ghouls stalk the battlefield looking for stragglers & loners, ambush them, & flay their skin from their bodies. They dress themselves in their grissly trophies not for sport, but to create a goetic glamour, to steal the identity of their victim.
& once they have a stolen identity they work their way up the chain of command until they can reach a high officer, assassinate them, & receive the only blessing afforded to them...
Massive amounts of Hell's most effective drugs blast through their system on a kill, flooding their burning neurons with endorphins.
But eventually the drugs will stop working, Hell will lose what hold they have upon the ghoul & it'll be reduced to a wailing, berserk slasher until the fire within their bones finally consumes the tattered remnants of their soul & all that's left is the echo of their tortured howl upon the ephemeral background radiation of the battlefield.

Sages of the Hidden Secrets
They were taught the mysteries of the stars and the hidden paths between them; alchemy and the transmutation of flesh; tablets of lost knowledge and forbidden geometries. Every secret of Goetia was offered to fuel their obsession, binding them irrevocably to Hell — both metaphorically and in the flesh. Their bodies were twisted by sorcery, organs fused to metal and blasphemous sigils, their souls sealed within goetic armor designed to contain their immense power in the mortal world and grant them a crude mockery of immortality.
Within their armored torsos lie the echoes of what they once were — a tormented core upon which their magic feeds, capable of tearing reality apart and reshaping it at the whim of their depraved minds.
Among the Legions of the Heresiarch, a blasphemous legend persists: that the first of the Sages were once three holy seekers, distorted reflections of the Wise Men of old. But where the Magi followed a star to kneel before Christ, these scholars turned instead toward a fallen star — a burning sign in the firmament that marked the cradle of the Heresiarch’s birth. There, they sought not salvation, but illumination without submission. The Lord of Greed rewarded their choice, and damned them for it in equal measure.
In the present age, the Sages walk the trenches wherever their impious master believes secrets or riches may be claimed. They are insatiable agents of his will. Their transformed bodies possess the strength to tear apart any soldier foolish enough to stand in their path, and their mastery of dark Goetia is sufficient to alter the course of entire battles.
Made in hell.

The Argent Guard
The great city of Stormwall is contested over many factions that want to control the flow of gold and goods. From The Gutters to The Crown, there are all sorts of people that call this labyrinthine city home. Stormwall is brimming with corruption and villainy- in the end the only thing that matters is gold.
The higher districts of the city are much more luxurious than the rest of the city. The Crown, The Magisterium and The Upper Ring- each home to nobles and officials that legally run the entire city. From The Crown, the Lord of City rules the city in its entirety. To extend his reach to the lower districts and protect the higher districts, he commissioned the creation of The Argent Guard. Constructs designs to defends the upper rings and bring order to the slums of the lower rings.
Each Argent Guard is a finely crafted construct that looms over most people. Its tall slender design makes it quite different from most iron golems and such. Each guard wields a fine one-handed sword that is more like an unwieldy greatsword for most mortals. They wield these blades as a duellist or fencers wields a light rapier- with elegance and grace. Most notably is the a bright pristine half-cloak that each construct is outfitted with. A symbol of their role in the city as arbiters of order and the wealth of their master.
